Happy World Environment Day!

According to the latest comprehensive EPA national dataset, the United States alone generates nearly 300 million tons of waste each year – that is equivalent to around 4.9 lbs per person per day.

About half of it ends up in landfills.

That’s roughly 150 million tons buried annually.

Let that sink in – and most of it is still recyclable, recoverable, or reusable.

It’s also worth noting that the most recent comprehensive data provided by the EPA is based on 2018 figures. Given the population growth since then, these numbers are likely even higher.

Tomorrow is World Environment Day, and we would love to hear from YOU. At CRC Recycling, we take both Post Consumer and Post Industrial Scrap. Contact us and let’s chat about whether you’re maximizing the value of your recyclable materials. ♻️

Better choices = real impact. 🤝
